Swamp Tiger Butterfly Danaus affinis

The Swamp Tiger Butterfly, Danaus affinis, is a rare butterfly sited at the Aquatic Club, Coomba Reserve. This butterfly depends on a vine, Cynanchun carnosum, which is found close to the waters edge, in salt marsh or swamp oak forest. This is the host plant for this butterfly and it's existence is dependent on the survival of this plant.
